Privacy Policy
Karen Holy Bible (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Karen Holy Bible mobile application for iOS (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App and related services, including our website at https://www.karenholybible.app.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
- App name: Karen Holy Bible
- Developer / data controller: Karen Holy Bible
- Contact: privacy@karenholybible.app
- Website: https://www.karenholybible.app
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
If you choose to create an account or sign in, we may collect:
- Email address and password (email sign-up)
- Name (first and last name), if you provide it
- Profile information from third-party sign-in (Google or Apple), such as name and email address, as permitted by those services
If you use cloud features while signed in, we may store:
- Saved Bible verses and notes
- Search history (terms you have searched)
- News or content you choose to save to your account
You may use many features of the App without creating an account. Saved verses may also be stored only on your device.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, language, and general usage (e.g., app opens, feature use such as search)
- Identifiers: advertising identifier (IDFA) where permitted, device identifiers used for analytics, ads, and push notifications
- Log and diagnostic data: crash reports and performance data through our analytics providers
2.3 Local storage on your device
The App may store information on your device, including:
- Reading position and preferences
- Saved verses (when not synced to the cloud)
- App settings and cache
- Data shared with the home screen widget through Apple’s App Group storage
2.4 Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we use a push notification service to send alerts (for example, news or updates). This may involve a push token and a subscription identifier linked to your device.
2.5 Advertising and consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), an IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) certified consent management platform, to ask for your consent before personalized advertising and related data processing where required by law.
Depending on your choices, AdMob and its partners may process:
- Advertising ID (IDFA)
- IP address (approximate location)
- Ad interaction and delivery data
- Consent strings (TC String) stored according to IAB TCF standards
You can change ad-related choices at any time in the App under About → Privacy & ad choices (when available).
For users outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, ads may still be shown; limited or non-personalized ads may apply where consent is not given or not required.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide Bible text, audio, search, maps, hymns, sermons, and other App features
- Create and manage your account and sync saved content across devices (when signed in)
- Send push notifications you have agreed to receive
- Show and measure advertisements that support the free App
- Understand how the App is used and improve stability and features
- Comply with law and protect our rights, users, and the public
We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising partners may use data for ad delivery and measurement as described in their policies and, where applicable, based on your consent.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the App and your account | Performance of a contract / legitimate interests |
| Push notifications | Your consent (device permission) |
| Personalized ads and ad measurement | Your consent (via UMP / TCF where required) |
| Analytics and app improvement | Legitimate interests and/or consent where required |
| Legal compliance | Legal obligation |
You may withdraw consent for ads or notifications at any time through device or in-app settings; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

| Sign in with Apple | Optional sign-in | Apple Privacy Policy |
